Salary: $65,000 - $135,000 (DOE) + up to 25% annual bonus

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week, M–F
We’re seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Farm/Ranch Underwriter to oversee and maintain our Arizona and New Mexico territory. They will drive agency growth, ensure underwriting compliance, and drive profitability within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for agency partners; manage underwriting for new and renewal business
- Analyze risk, review inspections, MVRs, and TIV to make sound underwriting decisions
- Conduct on-site risk evaluations (including thermal imaging or bio-security when needed)
- Train and mentor agency staff on products, systems (e.g., ChoiceConnect²), and underwriting processes
- Support agency audits, recommend corrective actions, and ensure follow-up
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including competitor displacement and book rolls
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and agent meetings
- Provide mentorship and support to junior underwriting staff
What You Bring
- A love for the Farm/Ranch and Ag space- maybe you even grew up in it
- Ideally 3+ years as a Farm/Ranch or Agribusiness Underwriter or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred + professional designations (CPCU, CIC, or similar)
- Strong underwriting, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficient in risk assessment, state regulations, and product knowledge
- Valid driver’s license
